Cat Street (キャットストリート () Kyatto Sutorīto) is a Japanese drama based on the manga of the same name by Yoko Kamio. The drama stars Mitsuki Tanimura as Keito Aoyama and Ryo Katsuji as Koichi Mine, along with Tomoka Kurokawa and Ryo Kimura.[1] It was written by Taeko Asano and Eriko Shinozaki.

The series aired on NHK as a part of their "Drama 8" block. It premiered on August 28, 2008 and concluded on October 2 after six episodes.[2]

In March 2008, the television adaptation of Cat Street was announced by Bessatsu Margaret.[10] Mitsuki Tanimura was cast in the lead role at the request of the author, Yoko Kamio.[11] Shooting began in June. A press conference was held on July 8. It was attended by stars Tanimura, Ryo Katsuji, Tomoka Kurokawa, Ryo Kimura, and Katsuhisa Namase. Kimura revealed that he was playing an original character.[12][1]

Cat Street was broadcast on NHK G on Thursdays at 8:00 PM. It also aired on NHK BS.[2] The series originally aired from August 28 to October 2, 2008 for six episodes.

The soundtrack to Cat Street was released on September 3, 2008.[14] It contains the score for the series, which was composed entirely by Yuichi Watanabe.[15]

Ikimono-gakari's eleventh single, "Planetarium," served as the theme song for Cat Street.[16] The song "Shigatsu Ichinichi" by Kagrra, was used as an insert song in the fourth episode.[17]
